I've always contemplated releasing a solo percussion album, but I have always managed to talk myself out of it each time it swings back around. Who would listen to this? I don't know. Do I feel like being picked apart and scrutinized in such a magnified way? Sure why not. I'm content with my personal musical journey thus far, and other peoples' opinions have no role to play in that. I have recorded miles of solo playing over the years but done nothing with most of it. This particular batch is all taken from two fairly recent sessions. I have come back around to this stuff a few different times, and still feel drawn to it. I have also included a recording of a piece I wrote earlier this year as the final track, and although It is not technically an all percussion piece, I feel it fits nicely. I had a lot of fun putting this together, I hope you enjoy.
